Business
- Unveiled our bold strategy to become a health care company focused on oral health
- Continued to keep our purpose – to improve health by providing access to quality care – at the center of everything we do
- Completed 10,000 provider office visits as part of our commitment to provider partnership
Environmental
- Reduced our total office energy use by 20%
- Increased paper suppression, with 54% of providers and 38% of members now choosing electronic documents
Social Focus Areas
- Offered tailored dental plans to federal government employees, including over 1.1 million veterans, military retirees and their family members
- Allocated $33.7 million to our communities through the Delta Dental Community Care Foundation, with $15 million dedicated to senior oral health
- Increased access to comprehensive oral health care for older adults through the Senior Oral Health Partnership Program by more than 20% since its launch in 2022
- Nearly 70 percent of our employees demonstrated their commitment to giving back by volunteering or making charitable contributions — since 2018, employees have collectively volunteered nearly 56,000 hours and contributed $4.4 million (including matching funds) in support of more than 5,000 causes — championing the organizations that matter most to them.
Governance
- Aligned our work with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), reported to CDP and EcoVadis, and referenced Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards
