Simplify payments with EFT

Reduce administrative burden with EFT, so you can focus on what matters most — your patients.

Delta Dental of California and affiliates are committed to being trusted partners to the dental community. We’re focused on reducing administrative barriers, so you can focus on what matters — your patients and your practice. We’ve listened as providers have shared the importance of digital solutions in running their practices efficiently. That’s why we’re moving toward a digital-first approach.

Starting on January 1, 2027, electronic funds transfer (EFT) will be Delta Dental’s standard method of payment. Practices who have chosen not to enroll in EFT and elect to continue to receive paper checks will incur a weekly $15 processing fee.¹,²

Consider switching to fast, secure payments with EFT

EFT is a simple, fee-free alternative to paper checks. With EFT, Delta Dental deposits payments directly into your bank account, reducing processing times, administrative costs and security vulnerabilities compared to paper checks.

EFT payments are:

  • Fast. Payments won’t be delayed in the mail, and provider claim statements (also called digital remittance advice) are posted to Provider Tools the same day you’re paid.
  • Efficient. Spend less time on administrative work, with no more handling or manually depositing paper checks.
  • Secure. EFT lets you avoid lost, stolen or damaged checks in the mail, and your information is protected with modern cybersecurity practices that help detect and prevent fraud.
  • Environmentally friendly. Direct deposit significantly reduces paper use across the ecosystem.
