Simplify payments with EFT

Getting paid is a breeze when you take advantage of electronic funds transfer (EFT) from Delta Dental of California and its affiliates. You’ll get fast payments and run your practice more efficiently.

Why use EFT?

EFT is a simple, fee-free alternative to paper checks. With EFT, Delta Dental deposits payments directly into your bank account, reducing processing times, administrative costs and security vulnerabilities compared to paper checks.

How does EFT work?

1. Enroll. Enrolling is simple, easy and fast. It takes minutes. Sign in to your Provider Tools account, click on the EFT and ERA icon and follow the prompts to start the enrollment process.

2. Receive deposits. Once you’re enrolled, payments will be electronically deposited into your bank account. Processing your enrollment takes about two weeks. Once our verification is successful, you will start receiving payments automatically. No more paper checks.

3. Get notified. You’ll receive an email notification at your practice location email on file whenever you get a direct deposit from us.

4. See payment details. Review payment details in Provider Tools immediately, and see all your practice’s claim information instantly, anytime. Your provider claim statements (digital remittance advice) and pre-treatment estimates are viewable online, and they’re printable whenever you choose, reducing clutter.

5. Reconcile payments. Get immediate access to all your provider claim statements the same day as the EFT payment, enabling reconciliation to occur as efficiently as with paper-based version. Go to the My Payments section in Provider Tools to quickly and efficiently reconcile payments and view claim statements.

6. Modify existing enrollment. Delta Dental’s EFT set up in Provider Tools allows the account owner to restrict and specify access by clicking on User management and using the Manage User functionality.

Can I enroll in EFT with all Delta Dental companies at once?

Yes. As you fill out the enrollment form, you’ll see a section titled Delta Dental Member Company Data Sharing Authorization for EFT. To enroll for direct deposit with all Delta Dental companies at once, simply select Opt in to National Sharing.
