Updated 2026 CDT codes are here
The American Dental Association’s CDT procedure codes and nomenclature update includes 31 new codes, 12 revised codes, 6 deletions and several policy revisions.
Be sure to review our summary of changes and claims processing policies (PDF), and start using the 2026 codes on any claims submitted to Delta Dental for services performed on or after January 1, 2026. This summary also includes updates to our policy for:
- D0180: Comprehensive periodontal evaluation
- D4341, D4342: Periodontal scaling and root planing
- D4355: Full mouth debridement to enable comprehensive periodontal evaluation and diagnosis
- D7953: Bone replacement graft for ridge preservation
The Delta Dental Dentist Handbook has been updated to reflect CDT 2026, and you can access it any time by logging in to Provider Tools.
