Ease staffing shortage stress with Provider Tools

In the years following the COVID pandemic, staffing shortages have become a problem, if not a crisis, for many dental practices across the country. According to a recent survey (PDF) conducted by the Health Policy Institute of the American Dental Association:

  • 40% of dental practices were recruiting or had recently recruited dental assistants, and nearly the same percentage were recruiting dental hygienists
  • 90% of the dentists recruiting for these positions said it was “extremely” or “very” challenging
  • One in three dentists who didn’t have full schedules indicated that vacant staff positions were part of the problem
