Enrolling in FEDVIP during Open Season

If you’re about to retire or are newly retired, you can enroll in the Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program (FEDVIP) during the federal benefits Open Season from November 13, 2023 through December 11, 2023 for coverage starting January 1, 2024.

Enrolling in FEDVIP outside of Open Season

Enrollment in the Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program (FEDVIP) takes place during Federal Benefits Open Season, which usually runs from the second Monday in November through the second Monday in December each year. If open season has ended, you must be newly eligible or have experienced a qualifying life event (QLE) in order to enroll in FEDVIP.. Otherwise, the next opportunity for you to enroll in FEDVIP dental coverage will be during the next Federal Benefits Open Season.

In FEDVIP, Delta Dental offers a choice between two great plans to meet your needs.

The Standard Plan option offers quality care at a low premium and per person in-network maximum of $1,500.

The High Plan option offers greater coverage, including adult orthodontics, and unlimited in-network annual maximum.

Preventive care is critical to your overall health and shouldn’t cost you anything. That’s why it’s 100% covered under Delta Dental’s FEDVIP plans when you visit an in-network dentist.
