FEDVIP plans offer more benefits, more savings for 2025

This Open Season, employees choosing Delta Dental will get new expanded benefits with the excellent coverage already provided in FEDVIP dental plans.

New benefits for 2025 include:

  • Members can receive coverage for a missing tooth — even if the tooth was missing before they enrolled in a Delta Dental FEDVIP plan.¹ This addition will help many members needing prosthodontic services who previously weren’t eligible.
  • The Healthcare Spending Card². Delta Dental has partnered with Lane Health to bring the Healthcare Spending Card to members. This card helps pay for dental or hospital expenses over 12 months and medical expenses over four months — all with no fees. It provides a safe, more affordable alternative to traditional high-interest credit cards³.

These new benefits are in addition to the comprehensive coverage members already receive, such as:

  • Saving up to 40% off dentist fees⁴ when visiting a dentist in Delta Dental’s vast nationwide network.
  • Cleanings and exams covered at 100% when visiting an in-network dentist.
  • Access to more than 160,000 dentists from our networks. We work directly with these dentists to ensure quality care for you.

Federal employees, annuitants and military retirees can choose from two FEDVIP plans to meet their and their family’s needs and budget: a standard plan, which is best for preventive routine dental care; and a high plan, which is best for people needing additional dental work.

² Lane Health is a financial technology company, not a bank. The Healthcare Spending Card is issued by Lead Bank pursuant to a license from Visa USA Inc.

³ Lane Health does not charge interest on, or an annual fee for, the Healthcare Spending Card. “0% financing” pertains to repayment options that do not charge interest (0% interest) nor fees ($0 fees). Each Advance can be repaid in full, 4-month term or 12-month term (with a minimum $3 due each payment period). You can review the fee table at https://lanehealth.com/hsc-lb-dd-fees

⁴ We negotiate rates with in-network providers that can save members up to 40% on covered PPO plan procedures. Savings estimate is evaluated according to Delta Dental's National Provider File average procedure fees in August 2023.
