What is virtual dentistry?

When you can’t make it to the dentist’s office, have an urgent question outside of regular hours or don't have a dentist you see regularly, you can still get expert dental advice, virtually. Learn more about using virtual dentistry to manage your oral health.

Your virtual dentistry options

Virtual dentistry offers members convenient access to a Delta Dental dentist for answers to questions, quick checkups, second opinions or other oral health needs in between visits to the dentist’s office.

How it works Consult with a licensed dentist about dental or oral health issues via video visit or photo submission with an in-network dentist. Answer some questions about the reason for your visit, enter your insurance details, and a Delta Dental dentist can provide treatment recommendations, prescribe medication to patients with a video appointment and provide aftercare instructions through your computer or mobile device.
Coverage Available as a covered benefit to members with Delta Dental PPO™ and Delta Dental Premier® plans¹
Cost No extra cost to covered members for using these tools, but coverage limitations may apply. Visits will not count toward diagnostic exam frequencies.¹
