Roy Gilbert, Chief Operations Officer, Delta Dental of California

Roy Gilbert is Chief Operations Officer for Delta Dental of California and its enterprise affiliates including Delta Dental Insurance Company, Delta Dental of New York, Inc., and Delta Dental of Pennsylvania, which operate in 15 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. Roy oversees Contact Center Operations, Enterprise Operations Shared Services, Claims Processing, Provider Services and Government Programs for the organization.

Roy brings more than 15 years of experience building high-performing operating teams across a variety of sectors, including health care, education and technology. Most recently, he was Chief Operating Officer of Collective Health, an industry-leading health insurance innovator where he oversaw Plan Operations, Partner Management, Implementation, Client Success and Concierge Support. Roy also served as Chief Executive Officer of Grockit, an award-winning technology company, and held a variety of operations leadership roles at Google. He began his career as a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy Submarine Force.

Roy earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the United States Naval Academy and a Master of Business Administration from Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
